The Solution
UVT's patent pending and proven method.

STEP 1

INSPECTION

Our Dual View High Definition Borehole Camera inspects the integrity of the pipe while also documenting the depth and location of perforations.  During this inspection and diagnostics process, UVT also assesses and documents any ground water or natural gas intrusion through these perforations.

STEP 2

SET THE SEAL

With comprehensive diagnostics, the Hydraulic UVT Compression Seal is moved down the well casing to a depth of optimal casing placement.  After stopping, the UVT Compression Seal is set by lifting the lower Wedge Seal (WS).  As high pressure is applied, the outside Seal Casing (CS) expands to essentially lodge itself to the well casing wall…filling all crevices in its bond. It’s important to note that the UVT Compression Seal is engineered to redistribute force to the Seal Casing wall, thus strengthening the bond and seal itself.

STEP 3

VERIFICATION

Prior to the UVT Compression Seal being in place, bubbles created by gas and air are visible in the well hole.  Upon Re-Inspection with the Dual View HD Borehole Camera, the most obvious indicator of success with the UVT Compression Seal is the reduction and elimination of bubbles as the camera moves down the well casing.

ADVANTAGES OF THE UVT SEAL

To address the issues of abandoned / orphaned / derelict oil and gas wells on the scale that is needed, the oil and gas industries along with environmental agencies need a solution that is more expeditious and economically feasible. FASTER REMEDIATION TIMES

6 to 10+ times faster

LOWER COSTS PER REMEDIATION

As much as half the cost per well

THE UVT BONDING PROCESS

COLD WELD

Cold welding or contact welding is used by applying high pressure to join the UVT seal to a steel pipe without using fusion or heat. The image shows just how secure the bond is between the UVT seal and the steel casing wall.
